FOUNDER

Hope has ten years of experience teaching swimming lessons and lifeguarding. She grew up swimming competitively until she was old enough to become a certified lifeguard. Hope has experience teaching all ages and abilities. Her favourite age group to teach is 4-6 year olds.

Penny is the official right-hand woman to Hope. Her skills include cuddling, digging holes and barking at the wind

SWIM INSTRUCTOR AND LIFEGUARD

Leanna has been a swim instructor and lifeguard for EIght years. This will be her fourth summer teaching with Hopeful Swimming. Leanna is highly passionate about teaching lessons, and whenever asked, she will boast about how much she loves it. Leanna is working towards becoming an elementary school teacher through TRU.

SWIM INSTRUCTOR AND LIFEGUARD

Tiara has been teaching swimming lessons and lifeguarding for four years. This will be her third summer teaching with Hopeful Swimming, and we are ecstatic to have her on our team. Tiara is currently working towards her Bachelor of Arts, intending to become an elementary French immersion school teacher.

SWIM INSTRUCTOR AND LIFEGUARD

Keana has been teaching swimming for several years now. She was a competitive swimmer for 13 years. We are very excited to have her join our team for the summer. Keana is highly passionate about helping others gain their confidence in the water.

LIFEGUARD AND SWIM INSTRUCTOR

Annie has been volunteering as a swim instructor for the past seven years. She has also officially taught lessons and lifeguarded for three years. We are excited to have her join us for her third summer. Annie just got back from a seven-month adventure working around Australia.

Sofia is back for her second year of summer lessons. Throughout the years, she has coached various youth sports teams. During the off-season, she has been studying hard at McGill University.

Kalena has taught lessons and has been a lifeguard for the past two and a half years. She enjoys teaching safe and engaging lessons, loves watching kids grow in their skills, and takes pride in teaching lessons that focus on technique and efficiency. Kalena has volunteered as an elementary school basketball coach and vacation Bible school leader in the past and hopes to do more like it in the future.
