Hopeful Swimming offers private lifeguarding and swimming lesson services to those with backyard pools. Hope built this business to work with families' busy schedules and provide flexible work to lifeguards
How we started
Hopeful Swimming was founded in 2017 by Hope Hacquoil (pun intended). Hope spent her whole childhood in the water and at a young age, she began competitive swimming. At 16 she followed in her dad's footsteps to become a lifeguard and swim instructor. In her first year of university, she was given the assignment to create a business plan and present it to her fellow classmates and local entrepreneurs in the area. Here the idea of Hopeful Swimming was born. At the presentation, she was given rave reviews from her fellow classmates and local entrepreneurs who encouraged her to take the business live. The following summer she did just that and hasn't looked back since.
